Guns kill nearly 1,300 US children each year, study says
( CNN) Rambunctious third-graders replenished a classroom in Seattle on a crisp autumn era. One of the students dropped his backpack, and fright ensued.
That student had fetched a parent’s artillery to academy and was carrying it in his backpack. When the purse fell to the storey, the impact induced the firearm to ardour, sending a bullet straight into another student’s abdomen, told Dr. Thomas Weiser, a damage surgeon at Stanford University Medical Center.
Weiser treated that third-grader’s gunshot wrap while accomplishing a companionship at Harborview Medical Center in Washington in 2011.
